Sir:
The Office of the Municipal Planning & Development Coordinator has
been implementing programs and projects for the 1st Quarter of
Fiscal Year 2008 January to April Period. So as to institutionalize
and monitor what these programs and projects are, we are submitting
this 1st Quarterly Report.
This is also designed for your information and guidance.

Rationale:
The Office of the Municipal Planning & Development Coordinator is
mandated by the Civil Service Commission to formulate developmental
plans of the municipality as well as provide technical assistance to
the barangay planners and other organizations for the formulation of
local plans such as barangay development plan and others for
inclusion to the higher plans in the municipality.
Thus, for the 1st Quarter of 2008 January to April Period different
activities had been spearheaded by the office for the implementation
of plans and programs in the Local Government Unit.
Technical Assistance had been given by the personnel & staff of the
office to different institutions and organizations so as to come up
with their developmental plans. All 14 barangays of the municipality
had undergo training of barangay development planning attended by
the Barangay Planners composed of the Barangay Captain, Brgy.
Secretary, Treasurer and one Brgy. Kagawad. After the Trainor’s
Training conducted, there are already 10 barangays visited by the
Municipal Planning Team and assisted in formulating their 5-Year
Developmental Plan. Visitation to the 4 remaining barangays is now
on going.
The Office is also spearheading the Community Based Monitoring
System (CBMS) wherein 10 Enumerators had been trained before sending
them to the field. There are 7 barangays who had been surveyed.
Results of the survey are now being reviewed for encoding to the
CBMS System to be provided for free by the Provincial Government.
Other special projects managed by the Office has also been given
preferential attention and focus specially in the monitoring and
evaluation of the DAR-IFAD PAF sub-projects. Details of the report
are provided in the next pages.
In totality, it has been a busy quarter in the Office of the
Municipal Planning & Development Office. Its objectives had been
accomplished and will continue to work for the next quarter to
achieve better performance.
Objectives:
1. To be able to assist and formulate fourteen (14) 5-Yr.
Comprehensive Barangay Development Plan2. To assist the Barangays in
the conduct of their Barangay Assembly
3. To gather data in all 14 barangays for Community Based Monitoring
System to improve data banking
4. To institutionalize people’s organizations for effective
implementation of alternative livelihood programs.
